Client Profile:
The North Branch is one of three libraries in the Summit County Library system, located in Silverthorne, CO. Serving as a vibrant community hub for both residents and visitors, the library offers a wide range of physical and digital resources. In addition to its collections, the library hosts programs and events designed to foster community engagement. Its mission is to create opportunities for users to explore, connect, and enjoy lifelong learning.

Deliverables:
The branch underwent renovations with the goal of incorporating durable furniture that reflected the natural beauty of its scenic surroundings.

Teammates Solution:
We worked with the end user and Studiotrope Design Collective to develop a warm and inviting color palette and a carefully curated furniture specification package ensuring a comfortable and relaxing environment for users. A large fireplace framed by floor to ceiling windows required a statement lounge chair, so a beautiful high back chair from Allermuir was selected to complement the space. Additional manufacturers included Teknion, 3Branch, Sit On It, and 9 to 5 Seating. Creating distinct vignettes and zones was important to give the community flexible spaces for solo, focused work as well as group meetings and gatherings. Computer stations for adults and children were integrated in neutral colors with central power, concealing all power and wire management for a clean sightline. In the back-of-house areas, height-adjustable tables were chosen to accommodate a wide range of user preferences, allowing for micro-adjustments tailored to individual needs.
