Arapahoe County DA | New and Old
“Teammates is a pleasure to work with, they make a difficult task seem easier and are always prompt and professional.” Peter Pheteplace, Director of Central Services I Facilities Manager, Office of the District Attorney
The 18th judicial district is made up of multiple counties, combined with Arapahoe County, Colorado’s largest county (by population,) their job is a big one; reducing crime, protecting the innocent and enhancing the lives of their district residents.
With their district residents best interest in mind, (and fiscal responsibility in the forefront,) the Arapahoe County DA worked with Teammates and Burkett Design to consolidate three offices into one and move 150 employees into their new building. The goal was to create a budget friendly space that was both functional and comfortable, and that made the most of what they already had at hand – the furniture the County already owned and the new building’s existing finishes and blueprint.
The tile and stonework finishes in the common area of the DA’s new building worked well with their furniture inventory. So with minimal updating Teammates incorporated new panel finishes and a handful of new products, insuring a consistent look and good flow throughout the space.
In the “Breakroom”, a common space with multiple functions; traditional leather couches are mixed with more contemporary café tables and collaborative lounge chairs (with integrated tablets,) to give the legal staff a quiet space to read case law, review files, have lunch, and of course, take a break.
A large conference room is fitted with Egan Visual’s V-Series Mobile Stands. These mobile dividers and markerboards can partition and re-arrange the space on an as-needed basis, providing flexibility and cost savings over fixed wall construction.
Fighting crime has never looked so good!
